
Rev. Audred Spriensma
Born in 1954 to Tom and Jessie Spriensma, Rev. Audred Spriensma lived most of his teen years in Jamestown, Michigan attending Hudsonville Christian and Unity Christian High School. Audred married Alva Van Vugt in May 1977. Both Alva and Audred attended and graduated from Calvin College, and Audred went on to Calvin Seminary, graduating in 1980.
Audred received a call to Atwood CRC, MI where he ministered for a little over three years. Next was ministry for eight years at Bethany CRC in South Holland, IL. After undergoing a classical examination in 1992, he was declared a minister in the Protestant Reformed churches. He served in Grandville PRC for 10 years, then was called to foreign missions in the Philippines. After 5 years, the church in the Philippines was organized and the Spriensmas returned to the States. For three years they served the Kalamazoo PRC, then for seven years the Byron Center PRC. In 2017 Pastor Spriensma was called to be a missionary in the United States and Canada. When he received a call in late 2020 to become the pastor of the Cornerstone PRC in St. John, IN., he accepted and began his labors in the beginning of 2021.
Pastor and Alva Spriensma are the parents of 5 married children with 22 grandchildren. All of their children and grandchildren live in the Grand Rapids, MI area except for Army chaplain Andrew Spriensma and his family.
